This article, written by Ioannis Monos, refers to his restoration of an 19th century English duplex pocket watch and in particular to the construction of the special escape wheel using a restored Swiss wheel cutting engine of the period. This machine, found 45% incomplete, had previously been fully functionally restored by the author. The reader can follow the various techniques and methods of the era, which were used to calculate and manufacture this component. The mentioned works were done in Greece.
